My hubby dumped my stash of Black Walnuts.  Gathered these up from our tree in the fall to make stain.   Guess he figured I didn't act fast enough or whatever and I found these dumped down by the barn this morning........well, I have a nice lot of them on the stove right now, simmering to make a good shade of stain.
Jokes on him...HAHA

Silly Hubby! I've had to rescue a few things from mine as well--like the springs from a mattress we were disposing of!

Have fun with the stain!

Mine tried to burn the insert to our clawfoot oak table I had stashed in the garage. Must be the species? LOL! ~*~Lisa

My husband tends to trash my things too, but his junk is still in the basement, lol.

They just don't understand that we treasure that crazy stuff. My Father came to my house with a trunk full of sticks from his yard. Yes, I dug through them for the perfect sunflower stems...I'm always picking.
Hugs to you Maureen!

it is funny what we get excited about. I got excited about pine needles the other day. I wanted them for some photography. Some times a weeny teeny pine cone will be the best treasure for me. Happy Dying.
