They're baaacccckkkkk.

Ick.
The migraines, they just barely left me.
Heck of a summer.......took my last pill this morning, called my Dr. to get a refill.
Thanks be to God that there is a medicine that will help some.

I don't have time for this, there is much to be done.

Keep me in your prayers, I'll be back in a day or so......

  1. Maureen, you are in my prayers. I have a friend that had bad migraines. He saw a specialist in Philly that made him so much better. If you want the Dr.'s name, let me know.

  2. Awww I'm so sorry Maureen....keep a diary of what you're around, eating and doing when they occur...there are many triggers: stress, lack of sleep, chocolate, bright lights, MSG, dairy, nitrates, allergies...and the list goes on(might want to see an ENT doc)...and see what your healthcare provider recommends.
    Take care!

  3. Hi, Maureen, we will pray for the pain to leave you. I was treated 4 years ago in Worcester, MA at a headache clinic and the
doctor who evaluated me put me on Neurontin at bedtime. He also prescribed Axert for the inevitable migraine. I've been told by him, my primary and my gynecologist that the migraines (in my case) are hormonal from pre-menopause and now menopause. I almost never get one anymore, if I stay up all night 'cause of my back I sometimes do. But the Neurontin did the trick. I know that there are some side effects from it and the worst is that
you can't seem to "wake up" the next day.
It got better over time for me, it's still hard to get going some days but to have a migraine only a few times a year is a miracle and worth the slight drawback of the medicine. Ask your doctor about it.
    Warm Regards,
    Susan B., Western MA

  4. Hi Maureen,
Sorry to hear about the headaches...again. It seems I've been getting them lately myself. My doctor noticed I was getting them when the seasons change. Maybe fall is around the corner!!!! Aren't they a pain especially when you have alot to get done!!!! But then, maybe it's stress for both of us!!!!
Take it easy and I'll be praying for you.

  5. So sorry your migraines are back, Maureen. If it's any help, I've been getting them like crazy too! I had 3 last week (2 aura headaches in one day...after 40 long years of migraines that was a first :( and 1 headache this week. I don't know if it's the weather or what but something is definitely up. I will send healing thoughts your way cause I know all too well the agony you are going thru.
Hope you feel better soon :)

  7. Praying for you. I have not had a migraine in years, thank God, but I am plagued by chronic lower back pain and leg pain. I too thank God that there are medicines that help. I pray that you get some relief soon.
    Hugs,

  9. So sorry you are suffering from migraines. I can sympathize with you as I used to get them all the time and they were so painful and debilitating. In my case, once my dr. diagnosed me with high blood pressure and put me on medication for it, my migraines disappeared. I might still get one, once or twice a year but before the bp meds, I got them at least once a week.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  12. Just have to say that
I suffered many yearsw and missed out on alot with those migraines... I was on meds from the neurologist etc. somethjimes they helped but usually made me groggy or a bit lazy and out-of-it and other times they provided relief.. the thing that I found to be my lifesaver was Excedrine Tension.. they make a migraine form too but the tension was the one that helped me... if I think one might be headed my way that is what I take and it has changed my life... just me saying, Kerri
