It's the little things.

I haven't blogged in almost two weeks now.  I'm going thru a "thing"....can't really put my finger on it but sometimes I'm just feeling so sad that I need to cry.  I'm making myself crazy, thinking I am losing it.....just a little.
I hide this from my family.  Or so I think I do.
I go from feeling sad, to feeling depressed to extreme sadness.  Now mind you, none of this has a basis for being....I only know that I am feeling, at times, pretty low.
I'm thinking....it's probably part of that
meno-you-KNOW thing.
Ugh.
So, today as I was working on my taxes (yeah, yeah, I know, last minute, you say!)  I felt that depair coming on.  It truly had nothing to do with the taxes. lol
I stop, take a deep breath, and dig in deeper to the pile of receipts and paperwork.
Out from between two sheets of paper, a small scrap of paper about 2" X 4", slipped onto the table.
I'm not sure how it ended up where it did or why but here is what is written on it:
"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"
Jeremiah 29:11
Wow!
For sure it was no accident, that little slip of paper in the wrong place,
at the RIGHT time!

  1. The works in strange ways. It gave goosebumps. Your right, it's probably "at your age" thing the dr.'s talk about. Let me tell you a mild ant-depressant can help. Better yet, there are natural herbs I use (made me human again) along with scripture.

  2. Maureen, there are no coincidents, only blessings that come just at the right time! Eat dark chocolate. I'm not sure if it's a fruit or a vegetable but it helps :) Life is wonderful after meno!!

  4. So sorry you have been feeling depressed sweetie. But you are not alone, we all get those feelings at times. But that little note you found was sent from above. Our faith is tested at times, but God is good and will always be there in times of need. Talk to him and he will help you in a way that all of us can't. Just know we are all out here for you and I will keep you in my prayers. Have a blessed week.

  5. Maureen... I have been dealing with similar issues here. Most days are good as long as I stay busy and don't try to think but then there are times I just want to cry. Your not alone.... As your 'sign' let you know....

  6. no accident there...oh yeah...go get your vitamin D checked too. were all low in the winter (without sunshine) and we feel down because of it....Mine was low; taking mega dose (Rx style) and feeling less "sad" so I def think the winter blues is to blame....
    Peace my friend.

  7. What a wonderful gift you received. I have too been dealing with being out of sorts, not sad but just want to stay in bed and not get up. Hoping it was due to my night shift work. I hope you can find the help and answers you need. I will be thinking of you.

  11. I can sooo relate to what you are feeling! I have been on this emotional roller coaster ride lately and little things really seem overwhelming at times. Your little note appeared at the right moment. You are a wonderful designer! Hang in there and don't let anything prevent or interfer with what you love to do.

  12. I am so glad that God reminded you He is always there for you.
I think sometimes we forget that and have to be reminded. I know I do.
We are all here for you. I hope you feel better soon.

  14. Mother Nature can really do a number on us gals with the Meno-Thing! A good dose of spring will probably help too. When feeling low, try to reflect on all of your blessings-family, a beautiful home, and your wonderful talent. It helps!

  17. Maureen, get your thyroid checked. Depression is a symptom of thyroid disease, often autoimmune, Hashimoto's. TSH over 2.0 is suspect.
