Protect your privacy!!!!

I hate these internet sites that broadcast your personal info. 
Here's the latest, http://www.spokeo.com/
Just type in your name and find yourself....and for just $2.95 they'll give ANYONE even more personal info. about you.
You can get your name off this one, follow the instructions provided here.  Remember though, to check your maiden name and other towns/states you may have lived in.  I found mine listed twice........sheesh.

There's a site called Spokeo.com that's a new online USA phone book w/personal information: everything from pics you've posted on FB or web, your approx credit score, home value, income, age. You can remove yourself by searching for yourself on their site to find the URL of your page, then go to the bottom of the page ...and click on Privacy button to remove yourself.

    Hi Maureen: Thanks for the info...I went right on and found myself right away...it's creepy that people can find out anything about someone. I was on there twice (under two names) but wasn't able to remove the second one (probably because you have to verify with an email and I used the same one as the first). I will try it again with another email. Thanks for sharing this important info...I will post the alert on my blog too!

    Oh my goodness! I found myself twice on this site!! How scary, thank you so much for giving this info. I so do appriciate it. I had my idenity stolen about 7 yrs ago and it is very hard to prove it was not me that ran up $7,000 in CC charges. Thankfully they caught the person who did it.

    thanks for the tip.... Sometimes Im afraid of navigating the internet.....there should be stronger laws for people that do that.... and we have to be very careful with what we say or write in fb or any blog page..... people are so naive they write stuff like going on vacation today, or Im at the movies, etc.... be carefull you are in for a big surprise....
