Oh. God.

Got your attention!
Recently someone told me, "you should not discuss God or your religious beliefs on your blog, you might offend someone"........SAY WHAT????

I'm blown away by that remark.  I want to, need to share with everyone what a wonderful and loving God I serve.  I am instructed to do so in the Bible.
As a Christian, my Bible is my guidebook for life.  It is the same yesterday, today and forever.  There are no substitutions, it does not come with options.  You either take it as a whole or reject it.  Period.

Sadly, in today's society, anything "Christian" is often deemed offensive :(
I turn on the T.V. and I am constantly offended by programs, the news, politicians and our leaders, etc.  So I turn off the T.V.  It's that simple.

I thank God that I live in America, where we still have the freedom to express ourselves.

So if my speaking of my God on my blog offends you, simply do not read it.  But please let me know first.......so I can pray for you!

May God bless you this fine day!!

A wonderful Post Maureen. I have been blogging for almost 2 years and have never had a really ugly reply until...... I did a post on the Christmas Play at our church in which my only grandchild was a angel. I got a very ugly reply from a person making fun of God. I feel so sorry for people like this. You said it perfectly. Have a wonderful day.

I second that AMEN, Maureen! You've written a FABULOUS post, and I really appreciate it and agree with every word! Those of us that love the Lord do NEED to share Him! I thank you very much for sharing!...Nancy :o)

I just became a follower of your blog. I, too give God the glory for all things on my blog, and will continue to do so. I have found most bloggers are caring and are prayers. Thanks for this post. I agree with you. As Daniel O'Donnell the Irish singer says, they told him not to mention God or his mother in his music. His "God" songs are selling millions, and he doesn't think it is God buying those albums. I liked that.

Hmmm If you don't like or agree you really don't have to read. Right? I think that's what our little blogging community is about not just decorating and prims but friendship and prayer when needed.Don't let the ugly people get you down. When I was struggling with dad's cancer I got a few people who said some mean things so I stopped saying anything, then so many people emailed concern so I realized that the bad seeds were not worth my time.Sad that people have so little to do with their lives than to find negativity in things that really aren't any of their concern.Warm Blessings!~Amy

Wonderful post and so true. I read blogs of people who believe in all types of religion, but I don't judge them by their religion, but what is in their heart.

You Go Girl!!
The world needs more people who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!! To them the preaching of the Cross is just foolishness. I try to share my Christian witness as much as I can on my blog. I'm surprised that I haven't gotten any ugly replies yet. But that won't stop me either.
Have a Blessed Day!!

People are really getting awful these days. Everyone claims a right to free speech-- except when it comes to Christianity. Then you're supposed to shut up. Just ignore the naysayers and keep on keeping on!

I agree Maureen! If God offends anyone it's only because they don't know him or have a relationship with him! Hope you are feeling better I see that you said u were sick in your other post.

P.s. Just wanted to let u know I received your "Hooray for the USA" pattern and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!It's adorable!! Thank you!

I appreciate your post very much. I also have stopped watching tv because I am constantly being offended! I am proud to be a Christian and often share that on my blog. I've gotten a few negative remarks over the years, but many more positive ones. I think we Christians NEED to be more vocal, otherwise others assume that we agree with their immoral behavior or simply don't care. I often pray for those who offend me because they don't have the firm rock that I stand on. :)
Thanks for your post!
